Mary Rugh – Senior Electrical Engineer
On Friday October 5th Mary received the Hall of Honor Award from the Electric League of Western Pennsylvania. This award was in honor of Mary’s dedication and extremely hard work over the last 33 years to oversee the design and construction of a state of the art electrical infrastructure serving the Pittsburgh campus. Mary has also played key roles in many of the construction projects on the Pittsburgh and branch campuses.
Andy Moran – Senior Manager of Grounds and Landscaping
Andy received a “Green Star Award” from the Professional Grounds Management Society at their annual conference. Under Andy’s guidance the University submitted under the Urban University and College Grounds category. Andy’s submittal was graded and he has been selected to win an Honors Award! We would like to add that Andy was only 2.8 points away from winning the “Grand Award”. The scoring was based on Turf Management, Landscape, Safety, Challenges, Budget, and Sustainable Practices.
The team at Facilities Management is extremely proud of Mary and Andy’s accomplishment’s and the positive attention they bring to the university.
